I pulled the center stand off the F8 yesterday.....Still a heavy pig but 5 1/2 lbs lighter now.

My buddy and I are leaving to Sandblast Thursday morning from NJ....will be towing an open trailer with an orange F800.

Anyone else getting there on Thursday?

I'm actually the most prepared for a RallyMoto that I've ever been which is odd, RV doesn't need a laundry list of fix it's either. This feels weird having all the paperwork in and all I need to do is put my sandy terrain wheels on and change some oil. Finally measured sag yesterday and was down a full 2 spring sizes from where it once was :lol3 I did discover I've cracked yet another lower radiator support,...the fancy upgraded Stainless one even. Fortunately this crack will only mean a dangling horn when/if it goes but I'll be ordering a couple of replacements this week and looking to relocate that dang horn.

Hey Toro- I should be leaving Thursday AM, as well. Black Subaru, towing a giant red and white bike.

Ara: I'm planning on leaving NJ mid day thursday, around 4. But something usually comes up and I leave late. :D Sometimes I'm so late that I get most of the way and get a room and arrive in Cheraw Friday am.

Dude: Bobby W? I relocated my horn to the frame to relieve some of the stress on the bracket. I'll post a pic later today.

We got about 2" of rain Thurs, Fri, Sat. So that means the roads are......still sandy and mostly dry.

Here is a vid from today running the Shakedown course, Winery rd.
Pretty rutted from local traffic, but not fluffy. Get off to the side where it hasn't been packed and you sink about 2".
If you see red or white surface, that is the clay coming up. Greasy. Tan or brown is great traction, even with wore out Distanzias:D
I dont dare trying to lean through the turns, so I tip-toe carefully.

I'll be working shakedown Friday and on course Saturday, so wave and do wheelies when you speed past.

    closed course, trained professional, yadayadayada.

Keith: Thanks for the vid. Great job showing the existing conditions.
I'm sure it helps alot of riders getting psyched for the race.

Jack, I plan on leaving around 9 am....I dont like driving long hours at night. If your plan changes and are leaving early, call me and we'll meet up on the way.

Good to meet you on the road yesterday. Keep an eye out for those keys. My plan to give up on them and enjoy that road was the correct one.

I feel bad for the last car out on those stages. She'll be nice and loamy. I can't remember from last year, or any years. Do we repeat any stages? The stage schedule won't load on my computer.

    Nice light choice

Have you had a chance to test it out? We just installed one on my bike.
