Colorado. Boulder to Telluride

I'm starting to think about next summer's adventures and am contemplating an off road trip from Boulder to Telluride. I think I could carve out about 7-8 days of ride time for this.

So, has anyone here already done this? Are there common routes established? Me and my buddies will be riding light ADV bikes (KTM 690 will be the heavyweight) so we're looking nothing less technical than jeep trails.

Thoughts?
