Back when my rig was new (2004), I stopped at the grocery store on the way home from shopping/errands. I parked next to a SUV. While I was still on the bike, a VERY attractive blond soccer mom:sweeti approached the SUV and loaded it. She then just turned to me and asked for a ride! I was so flustered:eek1 at being caught off guard like that, all I could do was laugh. I told her that, unfortunately, the sidecar was packed - and I mean packed - with stuff. Then she dropped the bomb, "I have tequila!" :freakyNow that REALLY got me flustered! At that point she climbed into her SUV and drove off.

Missed opportunity? Or, with my luck, we'd run into her uber-jealous husband.:2guns I'll never know.

Winter keeps the riff-raff away. Without it, Vermont would have been completely paved by now.

Actually at the lower elevations of the Seattle metro area there is usually only about 2 weeks worth of snow on the roads, anybody with decent rain gear can ride year round.

Highway 20 is finally open :clap but it will be at least another month before some of my favorite roads are open. :cry

    Expecting a high of 69 today. :1drink

I was completely unprepared for the Delay Factor when I bought mine - I had thought that nothing could have been worse than owning a new Triumph in the mid/late 90's ("are they still making then", "I had a T100 back in.." etc, etc.)

I have learn the truth of it since... People learning out of car windows pointing as they go across the intersection as I wait at a red light, the repeated attempts to leave a car park and the big waves it traffic.

As has been said, one kid makes it even more of a magnet and then two small helmets peering through the windscreen amplifies things by several orders of magnitude!

Hmmmm, let's see, you could have put all your stuff in the SUV, parked it and given that poor sweet thing a nice ride, thinking ahead I'd put the bedroll on the back rack....
    Just sayin.....

i finally have a tale of my own to tell
this morning.... after taking my dad to breakfast (during our 50-mile inaugural "father-son" expedition), there were 7 folks gathered around my rig. we had a nice chat about it for 10 minutes. i was happy to tell them about it. i had backed in my rig, right in front of the main entrance... they wanted to see my 2 sets of kristas on... so, i started the rig, and turned on the hi beams (i had an HID CONVERSION done) plus the 4 KRISTAS at FULL POWER.... there were at least 20 folks outside, waiting for a table...
they shielded their eyes as if they were looking at an eclipse :rofl

i turned down the lights and we rolled on... 20+ smiling new friends... dad waved good bye to them all

honestly, before taking my dad for a 50-mile ride this morning, i had felt rather "invisible" on the hack... except when i was in the parking lot at my dealer
