In an aged thread label 2012 Triumph Trophy. Triumph just released the US web site yesterday, figured I'd start a fresh thread with what it actually is, without 15 pages of assumptions.

    Ok.

It is a copy of a a BMW RT with the Tiger Explorer 1200 motor.

For what I want right now, it just too heavy!!! it's 300kg+, just a behemoth!

But sure does look sweet. I'm not bothered by looking like an RT, I like the RT look :D

I dislike having to have the audio part just to have the eletronic suspensions, I think that would be a major bummer in case I wanted the bike

Wow, that's pretty brazen. The mirrors, the top case, even what appears to be indents for the tank bag, just like on the RT. I can seem wanting to go head to head against the BMW RT, but at least give it some original styling.

    Any head on shots? :lurk

I do like the frontal "mad monkey" look. Irrespective of the obvious RT lookalike visage - it should be a first class GT.

Knowing Triumph, it will be a terrific bike.
Yeah, they do seem to have copied the RT a bit more than I would have liked. But it won't cost as much, I hope. :lol3

Ya, that's the same as the spy shots.. i guess the spy pics bike wasn't disguised very well!

Might as well keep this thread going and let the old one fade away, now that the bike has been officially unveiled.

Thanks for the head on shot..

Sounds awesome to me! Add some fender bling and hit the road.

Pity they couldn't copy the lesser weight of the BM.

The only issue i had with my old R12RT was the dull engine. I guess that Triumph have listened to the criticism and come up with a viable rival.

It does look like the RT, but really when you put any group of bikes of the same class together, there are always strong similarities.
I'd still pick my GT, cause it fits my needs, but I think this looks like a killer bike. We'll see when the test rides start rolling in!

Yep, the front does have a strong Honda look. I like the RT styling, BMW screwed up by putting the twin cylinder tractor motor in its version at least the Triumph will have some GO! with the styling.
