Eh? night ride I'm unfortunately going to miss

Ok boys, I rode up saturday morning the back way to C.K. on my KTM 1190R . It has eroded out in a few spots. Lets say it was quite interesting to say the least, but was doable They've gotten a lot of rain and even more since I went up. Going back over towers mtn. and down the 52c forest road it was washed out pretty bad and I broke the bike in proper, left side to be precise. Have fun!

I would say the Wagner route will be very difficult in the daylight and really tough in the dark. Lots of that sticky clay mud on that route. The Hassayampa crossing should be passable unless it is still rolling swiftly like today. Lots of moving sand in the crossing area. However you can easily bypass that by going the Moonlight Mesa route to 93 and into Wickenburg.
Just my 2-cents... Have fun boys & girls...
I hear you guys are having an awesome rainy season in the big W this year.

I went mountain biking this morning and it was looking pretty threatening to the north. Weather radar looked like everything was dumping in the Bradshaws too.

On a related note... Mountain biking let me know that my relatively recently sprained thumb is not going to be good for pounding rocks up to CK this weekend, so I'm out.

Those doing the whole loop let me know if you will be needing gas in CK.. Not sure on miles from CK out to the gas station on 89. I can have gas for you at the Mill..

Yep... getting a normal monsoon after 14 years of "Piss'n on the pavement". I have had a bit over 6" at my Casa, another 1" last night. Places near the airport have exceeded 10" and they had a bit more wind on the West side of town also.
Seems like I have graded my driveway more this year than I can remember.
Have not talked to my friends at Alamo Lake but it has to be getting some of this runoff. It needs some as it was at less than 10% capacity

KTMser is friends with the owners of the Mill and they are going to have some gas there for us. Very nice of them to stay open late and help us out with gas as well.

Saturday morning 4Play, Slowred and Yardstick are going to pre run the back way and alot of the route after dinner as well and call me with the conditions. If it is all good then the plan runs as is, if they give us the no go then we will be taking a route around Lake Plesant to Buckhorn wash and over to Wickenberg to eat and then coming back a different way. Either way we will be riding and having fun so all you lurkers out there post up and let us know your coming

I don't get to go. My sprained thumb might be okay, but I don't want to risk it on that long of a ride yet.

Yep... I'm one of them lurkers

Wish I could play with you boys, right here in my-own backyard.
But... I'm still out with a shoulder injury. Several more Freek'n weeks! Hell I can't even get my left hand on the grip without and some of this

On a good note. the Hassayampa is no longer running and I suspect 4x4s are now crossing at both crossings. The pre-ride crew will have that figured out for you.

Rider list

Here are the riders I have confirmed. Please let me know if you are in as we are trying to make sure we get at least 10 to eat at the Mill.

There are some possible riders going up the front way to meet us up there for dinner. If you are up for this post up so we can help get riders together.

Also if anyone is up for coming in a RAZR or driving up the front way in jeep or something I have a young man who would like to ride along.

Pre ride report

Just got off the phone with 4Play and he said the route was dry with the exception of puddles here and there. Some ruts we will need to be keeping an eye open for but there were quads and jeeps running up there so they maybe a little worn down by the time we get there.
