Any Flagstaff riders?

I'm brand new to riding (~1 month). Would love to find out if there are any local experienced and patient riders who would be willing to point me in the right direction as far as noob suitable trails, local shops (other than northland), etc. I came across the coconino trail riders website, but none of their map links work (at least not with my browser), and unfortunately I can't make it to their next meeting. So far I've been riding out on the FRs behind Bellemont. If you know this area, what would you recommend?

Get a map or two from Coconino National Forest folks and have at it. I got one before a trip there and had endless riding.

New to riding and in N. AZ....nicely done. Welcome.

What are you riding?
Have you seen the Dual Sport event info - about a week away and registration will probably end early next week. The C routes will be friendly with plenty of bail out opportunities. Here's a link to an ADV thread with info:

TrophyHunter, thanks for the welcome! I have a Coco NF map. Went out to 151 last week looking for a "Hart prairie loop" I saw a video of on youtube. But there was no trail head marker at the 151/418 intersection, and it was all single track. Upon doing a search, I was able to find a map on the many mountain biking sites. I decided to err on the side of caution and didn't get in too far wondering if it was for mountain bikes only. No signage at the entrance, and I don't think it's in the Coco map. It's gorgeous up there right now!

Kbblue, I'm a tiny 4'10" gal and I'm starting out with a crf100f. Next bike will be a lowered crf150r, but I want to get better before I make the switch. I saw the event, and wanted to sign up. However, it's only open to licensed riders and I don't have a license yet. I need a bigger bike to take the test at dmv.

Thanks for the link, Sandwash!

With things being easy to plate in AZ, lot of selection, like a 230F or a lowered new 250L for ya. Good on ya for getting out there and exploring.

Yeah the rides are over 100 miles, so have to hit some connector pavement in between trails that make license required. The Hart Prarie Loop it isn't on the new FS maps. Probably not a good starter track anyways. CTR is working hard to make more trail available with the Kelly Canyon area south of the airport currently being developed with the FS. Too bad you can't make next meeting, but there's one every month. Would be able to get some good suggestions there as area knowledge runs deep in that club.
