Just came across these - don't think I've seen them posted before
- thick padding with lots of coverage.

I wear MSR lycra shorts with hard armor in hips and thigh.

Think I prefer the Race-Werks shorts, because of better tailbone and ass cheek protection. Wonder what these are comfy when sitting on a motorcycle.
