well well.....just got back from another great ride with great friends...life is good...yeow!..we took too many pics.....but we had a blast ride....in total about 1850 miles....450+ was dirt/gravel.....well the pics tell the tale....so here we go....

we flew into Cave Creek AZ to meet up with our buddy Todd and prep the KLRs for the run.....I managed to pick this one up out there for the ride..thanks XRmattAZ...

this is Todd's rocket drag strip ride....he is a big kid and cannot resist...

and he had some extra rubber to get rid of and mark up his new home garage floor...big kid......ATGATT...

well tall tales. and gettin ready to get outta dodge in the morning....

more lies and spin....I am off looking for the boots cuz the bullshit is gettin deep...

sun is setting....the stable is ready for some long overdue exercise...

Mark had to give us a kick ass drum solo after we had some tequila...thanks Mark

Day 1
we head out and stop for some breakfast...we knew we were in for a Ho - Hum day...

we head past BArtlett Lake and out of Cave Creek towards Bloody BAsin on some nice dirt to get things started...

not long and we run inot this guy...Art...with a blown tire....he was rambling on..."you are the first people I have seen in almost 2 days!"....46 hrs he was there...blown tire and no jack etc....so he thought....

"can you believe it...nobody else thru here in a day and a half ....almost 2 days!"...

well he has AAA....and no phone....we thought we can get his tire changed....or at least get his lat/long from GPS and ride out to send help....well Art is a retired referee and carries his flag...I asked him to do the blown tire signla...but he didn;t know it..

well enough of the pics...let's get a log and rocks and get his tire up ......oh wait...look here under your passenger seat Art...a JACK! .....well he goes on to tell us that God sent us and we are...blah blah.....I only had to break off 2 lug bolts but we got the tire on and sent him back....god sent us to help those whom cannot help themselves......2 days alone waiting for help to magically show up in the desert....LOL...

back on the road we go...the Great Western Trail up to bloody basin...

see the KLR?...

Randy sloggin on...

he is a clown...and had wet his pants I think....

and Todd like to hit washes fast and give himself a pinch flat....ok 20 minutes...

headin up to Crown King....

Stop for a cold beverage in Cleator....catch it on the right day though..

we ride up to Crown King...a nice area....

we grab some lunch and plan to ride up tp Prescott via dirt

cont'd.

Rancos Huevos

So Amigos...was this plate at 'Cave Dwellers' just short of House Rock?...or was it really in Kaneb?

I was thru there in Sep. heading east. I was gunna take the House Rock/Wire Road, but no gas, so I went towards Page and found a two-pumper called Cave Dwellers. It turned out to be fly fishing camp with a great diner. Had Enchaladas Huevos (or something like that) before heading back for the dirt road out of House Rock.

Nice pics and I thought Hwy 12 was the best touring pavement I've ever encountered. -p
