Shit..
Diaz is following me around again..

Jon,
I'd buy you a pizza, but you said it had to be a pineapple/Canadian Bacon pizza.. I just can't force myself to buy one of those things.. A man's gotta draw the limit somewhere, and pineapple on a pizza is way over my line..

Anna Maria's in South Beloit.. This summer.. Bring the family.. And feel free to talk to the staff in Italian, Mr. Smarty Pants World Traveller Slacker..

Paper,

Yeah we need to get together and ride the backroads, there are a lot of excellent gravel roads in SW WI, NE IA and SE MN. Maybe we could get rokklym to hook up with us?

I am up to a good dual sport ride pretty much always!

FYI Hodag, Pete's is not open yet, I think mid April, a keen man will smell the onions cooking from many miles away!! Come to PdC for Pete's Burgers and Paper will buy the beer.

BTW, has anyone seen "Wild Hogs" yet??..it is really better than I anticipated!

I seem to make a point of riding up there several times every summer.. I've never camped there, though.
Spoiled, with a free use of a 34' camper in Lynxville, walking distance to 2 bars, will do that to a fellow..

There's camping, but for the most part it's a permanant camper park. Just happens to be where my parents have parked a 34' camper on a permanent basis.. They're there about 50% of the time on weekends, and seldom during the week.
Good spot with Prairie 17 miles south, and Lansing, IA about the same to the north.... Lynxville Bar and Withey's Tavern/Resort is a 3 minute walk (5 minutes at bartime)...

Free cable, air conditioning, heat, shower/toilet, bed, fishing gear and boat, fridge stocked with Busch Light, and usually a hunk or two of cheese in the fridge..

All I have to do is pretend that I actually like my parents.. ( I do, even though my mother's a Nascar fan).. So far they haven't requested the key back from me..

I've found that I can bring a couple cases of Hamm's and it tends to remain untouched all season..

Happens to be the first place I ever got drunk (Wedding dance. I might have been 13, but I think I was 12, and it was long before my parent's ever went there) but that bar's long gone.. Used to be a very, VERY good strip joint in town, too, but that's gone also.. Fishin's good, beer's cold, and lots of good people.
