BMW R100GS Caribou Luggage System now Available

Hi folks,

The BMW R100GS Caribou Luggage system is now available . All the same great features of the Caribou systems for other BMW's, V-Stroms, KLRs. This is a very narrow set-up, only about 34-35" across at widest point. Please visit www.cariboucases.com for more details and to purchase. Here are a few pics (don't have pics of just he brackets on the bike yet, but it is nearly identical to the KLR 650 bracket look)....

EDIT 2009: The R100GS system is no longer availble, please see our ALS system as an alternative.

No, I don't think so. These bikes have different rear subframes I believe.

Yes indeed. I was hoping to have an easy February, but that is not the case, no pun intended. Working to get all the top cases out, Uly system out, 1200GS re-design to accomadate the Adventure model out, and we ran out of KLR systems this week. There is plenty to do, that's for sure. I remember back when I was able to go for a ride once in a while, those were the days.

Roger, does this mean that the KLR the Top Case is now available for the KLR and you ran out of them or you ran out of the side case system? Just curious if I missed something as to the Top Case being now available.

TIA

Roger,
I'm sure you are bombarded by request for racks for different bikes, but do you plan to add racks for the Suzuki DR650 to your line anytime in the near future?
Thanks!

We do not make a system for the DR650

The KLR Top Cases are done and all the parts are here, I just have to do the install instructions and get it up on the web site.

Roger,

Got any pictures of the top cases on bikes? I poked around on your web site and didn't see any.

Also - this link http://www.cariboucases.com/ doesn't go anywhere.

Page 43 of this post shows detail of the top case & rear cargo plate. This is the KLR, but others will be very similar.

Gday Roger. I have an '06 BMW F650GS. I was initially holding out for a Caribou topcase for this model but now I am tempted by the slightly smaller 1520 sidecases for this model instead. Do you have an estimation on the price and capacity differential between these and the 1550 setup as yet? Have you shipped any cases to Australia before, and if so can you estimate cost and time to freight (obviously at some discretion of the carrier)? Would it be significantly cheaper, given the distance, to just purchase the racks themselves and adapt a pair of local cases?
Many thanks for creating such a good system.

The 1520 cases at about 25 liters each compare to about 35 liters each for the 1550. The 1520 are a bit too small for multi-day touring, and the 1550 are just right (not too big not too small). The price difference between the two will be $10-$20 USD at most. We ship worldwide via United States Postal Service Express Air (5-7 days to anywhere), cost is $150. We've shipped to Australia many times. You can get Pelican cases locally, but you will have to drill them in the right spots, and this is tricky without a drill jig and proper drills. Hope this helps.
