Wow that was quite the read...my eye balls are bulging

Odd that that Ken fellow didnt man up and step down, regardless of wether he was right or wrong. Seems his job was to promote and run a club and when his actions (again right or wrong) began to have a substantial impact in a negative fashion of the club that he wasn't man enough to realize it and put the club and the paying members ahead of his own ambition/pride/etc

The sad (or one of the sad) part(s) of it was watching life long friends become enemies in the process of the event...

I do wonder why a $30K trailer was purchased in the first place. I don't think the trailer is getting anyone new trails or keeping others open. those membership funds should be going to keeping riding trails open. I think the purchase of the trailer was a bad decision by both the board and the past president.

The trailer was purchased to operate as sort of a command central at the trail rides. Quite handy actually and on top of all that with the gear not to mention motorcycles that has to accompany setting up and tearing down and marking trails and whatnot for the trail rides the kind of makes a whole bunch of sense .....

Yes the OFTR is all about diplomacy however a big part of it is about organizing rides as well and just by the sheer nature of the types of rides it's often in out-of-the-way places where no other accommodation is available to the organizers..

Plus they usually have ice cream and water in there!!

Be interesting to know where Ducati finds the extra power.

Is it simply able to rev the short stroke motor higher than more "conventional" bore\stroke ratio designs.

from what i've read, it sounds like the bike is not as fun to ride on the street as previous ducs. you have to really rev the bike to get to those ponies. i think max torque (~85ft-lb) comes in at 8.5K rpm, and max HP at 10.5K rpm. either way, its pretty damn impressive to get that kind of horsepower out of a twin.

they also seem very reliable, combined with 10K miles between major service. there is a guy in ride reports that is riding one across the states, and has so far put 15K trouble free miles on his. not bad for a race bike...

Many times, Fireball gives a real kick and gets ya goin, but damn, you got a burnin ring of fire in the mornin!

Re fireball coatings

I've had stuff done there...nothing for a bike though. All the stuff they did held up well. If you go over to off road Ontario there is a guy doing it on the side. Might be worth checking out
