Feel free to PM or email me from here for any information about the tensioner. I can attach the instructions for installation which include adjustment process too, but that information is also posted on the site too. I'm always open to messages or even phone calls. That's part of the fun of doing the tensioners. Fact is that's how TNC and I got together to do the first 250 tensioner - he contacted me and asked if it was possible - it was and we did.

I installed one a few months ago. Very easy to adjust with the engine warm and running.

Is a MCCT a should do? I know that on pre 2003 DRZ's it is. Has there been some failures out there?
Or is this just,to be on the safe side, install on the KLX? |

I'd put it on the really, really should do list. Failures of the OEM tensioner are common, and though those failures are not typically catastrophic (well not right away anyway, until you let more parts wear out) they do allow the chain to wear much sooner than it should. For the money and ease of install, it's very high on the list of mods to do on this bike.

That's a cut up fender from a KLR that is there to protect the Thermo-Bob from kicked up rocks. Doesn't look great, but is functional.

Yeah, that's the IMS 3 gallon you see. I like it, no problems at all. I only wish it were bigger. I'm also running the 1.1 gallon aluminum tank that bolts up on the left rear of the bike. I wish IMS would make something for the KLX like the 4.7 gallon they make for the WR.

Carb rejet and valve check step by step
I just posted a Carb rejet and valve check step by step here if anyone is interested. This is my first time ever turning a wrench on a bike, the only other wrench time I have is oil changes on my cars..
It's not a bible, just trying to help out where I can :) http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=850186 |

Excellent pictures. I've only been to DV one time and that was in August on my 800GS. It's on my list of places to ride once again but in cooler temps next time.

Has anyone here put a K&N air filter on a 2006 KLX250S with a stock exhaust? I like K&N but I'm unsure of how it'll effect jetting.
