Alpine Passes

Here's a GPX file witha load of the best Alpine passes.

I've also got the BMW dealer network files for Europe if they're of any use, and a national database of Fords in Britain that I use for planning rides all the time....I'll get those converted into GPX soon.
Attached Files
File Type: gpx Alpine passes.gpx (37.1 KB, 520 views)

PS We also have a tame GPS expert...I don't know if he posts over here but he goes by the name of PanEuropean on UKGSer....he does beta testing of both kit and software for Garmin.

I'll PM him and let him know about this new place....he's always a great font of knowledge on all things Garmin

Looks great Fanum. Wouldn't mind a copy of the DB of fords - what format's it in?

That's pretty cool, I just played with it with Google Earth

Check out the track log in the Oz forum with GE if you are bored - neat track log to fly, even if they do drive on the wrong side of the road

There are over 50 .gpx files, zipped up, one for each county.

There was a lot of hard work put into it by Mouse, one of our guys, and a guy called Lee Chapman whose 'wetroads' site is one of our ride planning favourites.....

http://vamp.idlers.org/~jaffa/ The wetroads site.

The fords database can be found on this thread.....it's updated several times and there's a lot of info there.

No need to re-attach or upload at this point. There is a problem with attachments and from what I see in the "Yikes!" thread, the boss was working on it last night. Be patient, hopefully it will be resolved soon.
