Just started a new thread. Thought I'd leave a post here as well.

Anybody riding in North GA this Friday, 12/30 ?? Maybe for a burger at Turner's or lunch in Copperhill? BBQ in Toccoa ?

Have you ever tried the BBQ on 400 at the Dawsonville intersection (Hwy #53?)... it is not bad either...
There is a little shack on Long Branch Road (extension of 400) passed Ex-Toosies... on the left... was open only on weekends... I think they are now closed... but will check...

Be well...

Be sure to try Armstrong's Barbeque when in the Summerville area. Small town ambiance, expect stares if you ain't from around there. Very distinctive barbeque, has sort of a Texas Barbeque flavor. On highway 27 (Commerce St.) in town.

Haven't tried either of those. I'm not sure if that shack is still open. It's Backwoods BBQ and I can't recall ever really seeing anyone there over the last few years.

I suppose I'll have to try that one at 53 now though. There is a place in Highlands NC I've eaten last few times up there that was decent too, but I can't remember the name.

Another vote for Armstrongs...

Central location to all

How about Phat Matts rib shack on Piedmont. They have a rib sandwich with the meat dripping off the bone. They also have live music most nights.

I've just been informed that I've got other plans... I guess I already knew, I just sort of forgot.

Another day? Maybe more than 25hrs notice?
