12GS: Highway pegs on HB engine guards, is it possible?

I'm wondering if anyone's fitted highway pegs on Hepco Becker engine guards for the 1200GS? Any pictures?

(Not interested in the Elf pegs that replace the spark plug covers).

it's just for stretching out for a little while.. I usually rest my legs on the cylinder heads, but I thought attaching a couple of pegs to the HB bars might be a bit more comfy.

No problem. Get a set of universal highway pegs from any UJM store and the bolt right on. I had a set on mine briefly, and will put them back on for my next long trip. They go on and off easily, and are ugly, so I leave them off most of the time. Sorry, no pictures.

I got mine for $6 on E-bay, and they even say BMW on them. I just don't like the chrome.

They look just like these except say BMW on them. You can get a variety of different types.

I have them on mine. Got them form Kuryaken.

Unlike many of the riders here, I seem to ride the GS quite a bit on freeways (must be a Southern California thing ). The cylinders ARE in the way a bit, but it lets me stretch out my legs, etc.

But then I also have electronic cruise control

Send me an e mail and I'll try to take and send a pic.

Please post a pic here. What part of the bar did you clamp it on? The front hoop has quite a curvature and depending on where you mount the pegs, it would change the angle/positon of the pegs substantially. I'm curious as to which position you all have found most comfortable.
