I sold the EGS-E
and used the money to buy a 2002 LC4 (rosa 18L) w/1200mi out of L.A.Any suggestions on what you would do to it besides change all the fluids, and clean the carb. and upgrade the clutch shaft bearing A.S.A.P.? Is it a bad idea to disconnect the canister and simply mate the fuel tank vacuum hose to the air box vacuum hose line instead...closing the two open ends from removal of the canister? ![]() I know this put gas vapors directly into the air box, but would a little combustible vapors be so bad? Would it increase Hp like a supercharger of physical sorts? Or would it just backfire and blow the air box under me family jewels? ![]() UPDATE: I started it and it ran for a little bit then stalled...so...I put the canister back on. But I'm still interested in what happened? So anyway...what mods would you guys do to it if it were yours?

And they don't fit =\
My pegs are 1.5" wide, and the extensions are 2.0" wide. Guess I'm going to have to fab up something and weld them on. Boooo.

That should be my bike
Good job on that. Have the same basketcase bike. ´97 620 with a 640 engine. Bought a from a friend. After riding 25 years dirtbike/motocross etc now it is time for a new challenge. I want to built it up ready to race for next year for some african desert races.
I also want to paint it black like you did. ( I already had the idea before I found your pic, all my KTM´s had been black ) What primer did you use for that? Especially the sidecovers and rear fender. No problem with the paint? Cheers to San Diego ( great area, have been there twice ) form Germany, Chris |

We think it's a 2003, but not 100% sure.

Fellow 620'ers. Can somebody take a close up pic of their clutch cable...right were the cable goes into the clutch lever along wiht the star adjustments. I ordered a new cable, and its mucho different then original cable and it looks like not all the original parts are needed. Something so easy, turned into something so difficult.

Pics are uploading now, I gotta head to work. I didn't scale them down and left the images big so you could zoom in. If you need anything else, let me know.

Old Clutch cable on bottom, new clutch cable on top. Old clutch cable no longer available from KTM, superseded by clutch cable on top.
![]() Not sure where this part in my hand goes anybody have an idea?
