Mojave Desert dirt rides 12-05

Mojave Desert dirt rides 12-05
The pictures will, for the most part, speak for themselves.

The group.

The view from “home”

The terrain.

The rewards.

All in all it was great family fun for...

Wives and kids.

Brothers and Sons.

And friends who are family.

And that’s the end of the 6-day, 342 mile, no major drama, beautiful weather, end of 05 rides.

Happy New Year!

Stinez,

That sure does look like a great way to spend a week. Your very lucky to be part of a group that hangs together so well. Very cool!

Have a great new year!

Hey, I was on that ride!! Here's a couple more!

Hey, great pics!
Ride leader Stinez tried to kill us all on the last day, I was too busy trying to
survive to take many pics of some of those rock walls he led us up!

After riding with you for the week and seeing how well you ride, I never doubted you.

BTW- I stole some of your pictures for my own personal use. I couldn't help myself.

No problem using my snaps. I'm hoping some of the others will chime in here
with more photos from our ride.

See you on the next one.

Awesome ride pictures, this area is my backyard, and I recognize the trails by Fremont Peak southeast of Red Mountain. Great riding there and also up in the Rand mountains by Randsburg.

Did you camp by the dry lake (east of 395) or at one of the camps by Calcity? We will be going there this Saturday on the 7th...dirt should be epic after the rain..

Any Weather predictions?

We always camp in the CalCity area off 20 Mule Team.
How much rain have they had down there lately? Any idea?

I'm headed back down, doing a similar ride out of Ridgecrest next week.
Rain is good but not too much (like last year!!!)

You are lucky to live so close to this fabulous resource!

We camp about 8 miles east of Cal City.

I wish I would have taken more pictures of our trip into the El Paso's and our journey on trail 30 but, as you must know, when you get rolling on some of these trails the fun factor overcomes the desire for pictures.

Here's a couple old ones from places you might know.

And one you should but may not. (I say that because I'm surprised how few know about it)

Have fun. We're looking at Clear Creek or maybe Stonyford for the weekend. We'll see.

Right on, many camp by Calcity or the prison. Families with lots of kids camp bt the dry lakebed (Cuddeback) east of 395.

I was there yesterday, Sunday new year's day, and the riding was epic with soggy dirt all over! My riding was done by 3 PM, and then it started to rain heavy again! I left there 8PM and was riding in rain and fog past the Cajon pass and into the valley.

Been to the Husky many times, here's a link to my Husky Monument Ride here on ADVrider: Husky Monument

Here's a group pics at the monument:

My pal Greg fixin some flags on the ole' Husky:

Nice to come across someone who shares the same passion for our beloved desert jewel in Socal...
