Ke100 brake light problem

Just picked up a used ke100. The battery was dead no lights were working. Put a new battery turn signals and headlight now work. Tail lamp had been replaced, the wires wern't plugged in. I plugged them in tail light works but no brake light. There are three wires coming from the bike and only 2 from the lamp. Did the previous owner just put on he wrong lamp. Can I make this one work?

Pull the bulb....if it only has 1 contact on the bottom you have a choice, either you can have a park light,,or brake light, not both, you need a 2 cintact bulb socket with ground..in other words you need a three wire tail light for everything to work..
