cabella panniers

Chanster,

They are OK, but problematic. First, they are water resistant not proof, as advertised. Secondly, they fly up at high speeds. I keep them weighted down with water bottles, but drink one and its too light. I know I can rig a little strap to hold them down to the engine guards, but have not done so.

If I had the cash I'd like to try the mtn-sun panniers. search in vendor forum.

Hope you enjoyed your catfish! I thought the food was awesome.

It is an annual gaterhing of the motorcycle touring club. You can find them at delphiforums.com. They were all great folks and I am happy I found them. They do lots of rides and are quite orgainized.

What is Stagecoach?

Stagecoash is a ride-to-eat event that originally was focused on the long distance rider crowd. The event is held in Stockton, AL (Lower Alabama) at the Stagecoach Cafe. Several riders help organize the event but Ray Fagan is the #1 coordinator. Rider participation at Stagecoach has grown to the point that there are more than just long distance (ironbutt types) riders. The Motorcycle Tourers Forum (MTF - www.mctourer.com) does not help organize the Stagecoach R-T-E but a lot of MTF riders travel to the event. The MTF is very active in the long distance rider community and coordinates several ironbutt rides each year. BTW, the MTF also has an adventure component.

thanks Andy

I guess I was off the mark some on the details. I just came to know of the Stagecoach via MTF and assumed the rest. And we know what happens when I assume!!!!

Stagecoach is a great excuse to make a run down south for a few days during the dog days of December. I got lucky and was able to leave and return to the Chicago area before the temps went back below freezing and before it started snowing again. Three plus days down on two lane roads and then a quick day and half on the super slab to get home in time to take the missus out for New Year's Eve. Put it on your schedule for next year!
