So for the 2006 D2D ride I pronounce the dates to be:
June 14th thru 18th

Now don't get confused. Most Gruvers and Non-Gruvers alike will arrive in Dawson on June 15th, spend the day in Dawson on Friday the 16th and Depart Dawson on Saturday the 17th. The route taken will vary by individual rider or group of riders but the D2D celebration will be the nights of the 15th and 16th. The official D2D banquet hosted by Dawson Dick at the Downtown Hotel will be the evening of the 16th and will be followed by biker games in front of the hotel, followed by posting of the bikes at midnight.

For most of the local guys the trip goes something like this:

Depart Anchorage "AM" Wednesday June 14th
Arrive Tok "PM" Wednesday June 14th
Gathering point is the Golden Bear Hotel (Call 1-907-883-2561 for reservation)

Depart Tok "AM" Thursday June 15th
Arrive Dawson "PM" Thursday June 15th
Host hotel is the Downtown Dawson Hotel (1-867-993-5346 for reservation)

Day in Dawson Friday June 16th
Ride the mining roads, sightseeing or nurse your hangover.
Banquet, biker games and bike postings 6:00pm to 1:00am

Depart Dawson "AM" Saturday June 17th
Arrive Tok "PM" Saturday June 17th
Gathering point is again the Golden Bear Hotel

Depart Tok "AM" Sunday June 18th
Arrive Anchorage "PM" Sunday June 18th

Back to Reality Monday June 19th

It looks to be a blast, and if you tag along from Dawson into AK afterward, you'll have a fine trip with the other riders. I'm in Fairbanks, but most of the GWN AK crew are in Anchorage and the Mat/Su Valley.
