Put the Euro kit mirrors and from signal on last night - kinda a pain in the bum

Couple observations - the fastener quality is top notch, in fact the best on any bike I've owned - except for the silly push nuts holding the lower panel parts together.

I ended up cutting them off with some small clippers - for replacement I used some 3/16" ( I think) E clips

Makes the bike look much better - but I did it mainly as the mirrors were unusable on the highway

Sitting on the Stelvio one thing stands out. It seems that the Italians know how to make a seat, it felt good for the long haul, though a brief sitting can be deceptive. Everything else seems very familiar to any GS rider. I suspect that I will reverse the risers to move the bars forward a bit if possible. I'm so looking forward to October.

Btw, I was in and out at RPM in 2 hours. They seem to be an ok bunch of folks there.
Congrats on the upcoming arrival!

You Guzzi guys in Texas are fortunate to have 2 of the better Guzzi dealers in your state, RPM in Dallas and MPH in Houston. Between them, you're pretty well set.

What does this kit do, Moose?

BTW, it sure looks like this bike is picking up a lot of momentum from the consumers. Wow.

The stock Euro turn signals are in the faring, not enough surface area for US specs, so they put the US turns in the mirrors. Buy 2 mirrors, 2 euro signal lenses and you are back to how the bike was designed to look.

I have my mirrors and signals on order.

Where can someone get this mirror/turn signal kit? From an appearance perspective I don't mind the turn signals in the mirrors, but they do vibrate quite a bit and get blurry.

Ah, thanks.

Similar thing on my GS. The stems on the turn signals had to be made longer to meet U.S. specs. Seems like a silly legal requirement.

online at the places mentioned....or give Beemers and More in Ft. Collins a call. They had the parts for mine before the bike showed up.

I took the Stelvio out for some exercise today after giving it its first service.

Big grins all day.

How are the stock mirror/turn signals working out for you? No problem? Slightly annoying? Unacceptable?

I'm picking mine up this Wednesday. WoooHoooo....!!!!

MPH Cycles in Houston usually stocks the kit. Pretty cheap too.

Todd and Mike Haven are aces.

They're fine. The mirrors do vibrate but not so much that they're unusable at all. I'll stick on the DoubleTake mirror that I have sometime. If the lighter mirror really gives me a clear picture at speed, then I'll make the switch, but I'm skeptical that it will.

Well congrats on a distinctive, special bike.

Having a blast with an '09 here. This is the only pic I could find showing what I did with the stock mirrors/turn signals. It will less than impress most of you I placed a tiny strip of black duct tape on the outside edge of the mirrors, wrapping it around the housing. Much lessened mirror vibration, no more rattle. It isn't perfect, but the mirrors are already plenty wide, and except for this view one would really have to look for this extremely stylish mod. And hey, let's hear it for the pre-NTX Stelvio's! The 3D-ish tank look, that fatter rear tire and its road look (plenty fine for most big dual sport off road duties), sweet Italian red with contrasting silver side planels, and shock/dismay... I live with the 180-200 mile tank range here in the west easily. I think one hefts around a few fewer lbs than the NTX, and some of us have been enjoying this bike for years! Been completely reliable. But to be sure, serious standing applause to those with the NTX!
