BTW, I wouldn't ordinarily clutter up this thread with a bunch of pictures, but someone posted that they wanted to see how difficult the swap was.
The photos make it much clearer and are an important part of the description...thanks! www.guzzitech.com might be a better place for a Stelvio 'how-to' thread so one can find this stuff in the future. It seems that many of us are posting on www.wildguzzi as well as www.guzzitech.com already.

I'd like to know too, and how do you like it? At highway speed is it quieter?

forgot to ask, do the cutouts allow for full rotation of the bars...clear the mirror stalks, etc.

I have risers on my bars, so they clear the screen only when the screen is in the fully raised position. I believe that the cutouts are properly positioned so that the handguards would clear if they were in the stock position.

The picture I posted a few posts up is with the screen fully raised.

Can you tell me what the cost was for the Euro turn signal kit ?
Did you get it from MPH ?
Thanks in advance

Yes, from MPH in Houston.
It came to around $135 delivered (to MN).

Since we're still on turn signals, I just put the fairing-mounted turn signals and the new signal-less mirrors on today.

When I had initially started nosing around in there, tracing wires, etc, lighting was pretty poor...late afternoon and very cloudy. Hence I couldn't find the wiring for the new signals and thought I was going to have to solder the wires from the old signals onto the new ones, re-route the wiring, etc.

Today was bright and sunny and about mid-day when I pulled the Stelvio out, fully prepared to hack and solder. No need! In good lighting, I found the correct connectors very quickly. No body panel removal needed...super easy swap. I did cut the stock turn signal wire at the base of the mirror, but that was just to make removing the wires and mirrors easier. But keep in mind...I have the '11 US model...the first generation Stelvio.

Total time for the swap was less than an hour, including 30 minutes talking on the phone...my parents always seem to know exactly when I'm busy and call at that moment.

Also, when I was hunting around online and talking with a Guzzi dealer, neither one of us could find a US-based source for the Stelvio signals and mirrors. The Guzzi dealer had an idea and temporarily borrowed a turn signal from the Norge they had on the showroom...it was a perfect fit on my Stelvio. If you don't want to order from a non-US parts place, just order the Norge turn signals and mirrors...they both fit perfectly. Again though...that's for the '11 US model...I have no idea if the same is true for the '12.

On the '12 there's no way you could change the turn signals without removing the panels. Dealing with those panels and all the different fasteners is what takes so much time.

I kind of like downtown Colorado Springs. I usually work out of Epicentral Coworking just a few blocks down by Rasta Pasta.

especially in the Spring & Summer

I spent a year working in our Springs office when it was in the Hibbard Bldg on Tejon (chipotle on ground floor). That project is about wrapped up, I don't get down there much these days.
I enjoyed the downtown scene in the warmer months. The commute, not so much.
