Stelvio Plays in Mountains

Works a treat up among the marmots. Power is effortless, shifting is optional.

Obligatory shot to show altitude.

Gotta work on the self-portrait technique, but it does show the leaves starting to turn.

Watch the podium in Milan this November.

Guzzi is supposed to have several surprises.

Saw one today...

The local dealer finally got one on the showroom floor. It's black and bad-a$$ looking and appears to be built like a tank. I'm 6'5" and was very comfy sitting on it. Very good ergos for a big guy. Would love to have heard it, but it didn't have a battery or any fuids in it, yet. They look much better in person than any pictures I've seen.

That is one sweet looking ride. Anyone know if Touratech, Jesse or anyone else's mounting system is going to be compatible with this bike?

Nothing from Touratech or Jesse that I have heard of, but Givi and Hepco Becker have mounts already. The Houston Guzzi dealer ordered some HB and they were junk fit wise, so they are still investigating.

Guzzi has Givi style plastic bags:

as well as a SW-Motech rack with Guzzi-badged TRAX aluminum jobs, which is what I am waiting on. They look terrific, but since Guzzi Marketing is run by mental deficients, they are not available in the States yet.

Me Too!!

If it is the one at RPM, I agree much beter looking bike in person. I was able to sit on the Tiger and Stelvio there and to me, the Stelvio was the hands down winner for fit, finish and looks. The Tiger to me seemed like a taller version of the Sprint. Great bike I'm sure, just not for me. I've owned four Triumphs including two previous generation Sprints and a Tiger. The Stelvio is definitely on the short list for the replacement of my stolen ST3. Unless Ducati makes a surprise announcement of a ST4 replacement.

Nice Stelvio write up in Cycle World. Sounds like Guzzi's only mistake was downsizing the frame tubing. Sounds like the engine is pretty bad ass.

Laugh Stelvio in NM

Local dealer in Albuquerque has a Stelvio on the showroom floor. Didn't ride it, but did fire it up. Sounds great. Things to keep in mind- No ABS, spoke wheels require tubes, and grip heaters/hand guards are optional.
