Assimilated!

Dropped the KLR650 off at the dealer and rode home on a 2002 DL1000 (4,100 miles on it) last Friday. Hard to drive the speed limit now 'cause the DL doesn't seem like it's going to self-destruct at 70 mph like the KLR did. It's all stock, so pics would be nothing new.

Glad to assimilate!

Hello! Here is another Wee rider - picked up mine, a red '06 DL650 less than a month ago and I love it! I also have an ST1300 which is a great bike for LD touring - the Wee is so light and fun for "casual" riding! So far I have made the following mods - centerstand, handguards, power outlet, fenderectomy (no pics yet) and the BMW wannabe roundels as a conversation piece...

Hopefully next year this bike will take me to Mexico and Guatemala.

Love it!

and with snow and ice at 8K feet in Colorado.

Just returned from a 14-day road trip, TX to Moab and back.
Need to do something about the windshield.........
and I hate snow.

Dl 650

Just picked up a 07 DL 650, and I like it. Fun little bike. Can't wait to get some bags on it and take it for little long distance jog. So far I am very impressed with this little bike. Cheers!

a DL650!

WHY?..

simplicity and redundancy...

I added a wee to the stable last fall..and my wife loves it and has claimed it..and I like it too

so the stable is redundant (which is good for long rides )

2 KLRs and 2 Wees....and 2 riders....

can one assimilate without the other or is assimilation a team sport?

Assimilations are like donuts - you can never have too many at one time.

Are Wee Washable?

46,000 miles on bullet proof '05 sans washing. I don't think that every 100,000 miles is too much. You?

Sigh, I remember when the V-strom was a small, tight-knit, community of only a million or so

I read this on another forum but thought it would fit in here. I didn't know Larry Grodsky but sounds like he had a way with words.

Just picked up my 2007 wee-strom - very happy. I just need to get some luggage - hopefully gi-vi - just need to know where. Also need to know if the E460 will fit a brief case?

Givi stuff is really good. I had an E46 on my 650 and it will hold a lot, but don't know the size of the briefcase. I don't like putting a lot of heavy stuff in the top case, so you might want to put it in one of the panniers. I had the 360 side cases and could get a lot in them too. I sold that bike to my son (sold/give) and will replace the cases when my ABS model gets in.
