15 minutes...

FWIW...

Geico charges $251 for a year of coverage to include emergency road side assistance, replacement value and $2500 in accessories.

Just fishing for info. You guys are a wealth of knowledge and the last thing a guy wants to do is jump into a 1100 page thread this late in the game and act like "Mr. Know it All". I gotta a pretty good idea how suspension works and I know what I like my suspension to do. I was just trying to glean a little more info from the collective about how you guys have set yours up and some of the troubles you've encountered along the way.

You guys are awesome.

Wolfman racks

Northern Dog,

I just installed the Wolfman racks on my '08 XRL, and they're very sturdy. Installation smooth, workmanship great. Combined it with a cycle rack's rear rack with no problems. It's a straight bolt-up and bolts were included - no fabs needed for me except a longer blinker bolt to accommodate the cycle rack. I haven't loaded them up yet with weighted saddlebags other than a test install, but don't forsee any issues. All set for TAT!

Anybody ever tried one of these little oil coolers on the XR650L?

Would it work?

I don't know whether the internal tubes would provide enough fluid flow or not, but encourage you to keep this site in mind that Google found for me should you opt to place a bid: http://shop.pitsterpro.com/billetcooler.aspx

I suspect it is the same product, but with color options.

AST236, my seat is scheduled for delivery from CA to VA this Friday the 18th. Planning for a ride the follwing weekend, can you tell me how long your delivery took? Would rather not have to pay for expedited shipping...

Mine shipped 06/03 and arrived 06/10. Hope that helps.

Enjoy.

He does use Fed-ex, but it won't ship until this Friday so no tracking number yet - I'd need to tell him if I wanted to upgrade the shipping before then to ensure that I receive it by 6/25. Looks like it might make it in a week via Fed-Ex ground.

That little cooler will NOT work on the 650.
Will not flow enough oil and you will strave your motor for oil
Check the link in my sig.
I have these all over the country and not one problem

I don't know how FedEx charges, but for comparison sake, when I sent my seat via UPS, the difference between regular ground and guaranteed 3 day delivery was only $14. Your decision, but for me, i'd fork over a few extra bucks for expedited shipping if I had a ride coming up. Hope this helps. Ride safe.

Is it worthwhile to replace the stock fork springs with progressive units?

What would cause a bent valve? Piston to valve contact?
