XR650L corked and uncorked

Hey guys, could someone help me out by telling me the difference between a stock XR and a uncorked XR. I know what uncorked means but I would like to know if it's worth the money. Could someone give me the hp difference, weight change (if any), and other major improvements with the modification.

Head cover gasket. Didnt come in my top end kit Trying to get away for the weekend.

It's steel so....

reuse it and dont worry about it
reuse it but use some sealer on it
reuse it with or without sealer but replace it asap
Tough patootie you aint going riding this weekend....

Not a big HP boost, big boost in throttle response.

Rocker cover gasket.

Wipe yours down with lacquer thinner or such. Something that doesn't leave any residue behind like solvent. Put a very thin coat of Hondabond or similar sealant to the edge of the head and rocker cover. Coat the bottom of the steel gasket and install on the head. Now put a coat on the top of the gasket. Install rocker cover. What you end up with is a gasket/sealant sandwich. Wait over night and the excess sealant will come off like a long booger.

Yes. At least that's the way I did my Wiseco and it works very well. You're gonna like the extra pop. What size you putting in?

Towards the exhaust.........you should also find the pockets cut into the piston to have different sizes, the intakes are larger.....at least on the JE.......

You're welcome, Wombat. My D606 rear tire is size 120/90-18. However, many others prefer the larger sizes for the D606 rear tire.

Here is my new to me '01. I wanted a clean bike owned by an old guy and that's what I got.
Problem now: lack of farkles!
Rack, some canvas bags, UNI and XR's only dipstick were all it had.

First on my want list is Rox risers and some fat bars. I tried to put it in neutral after locking the bars and got my leg stuck! I guess Honda's target market are guys who are 5'6" with a 36" inseam.
