Hehehe, yeah I'm with you on that one! the riding buddies had a CRF450 and a KTM300 they let me play with for a few minuets over at Olds hill man were they nice light machines in comparison.

and happy thanks giving to those in the states!

Would like to have seen a shot of the whole bike with the fairing. Instrumentation looks trick though. I'd dig on that if I could figure out how to use it all.

My friends and I did a ride from our camp in Barstow to stateline (Primm). It was generally an easy ride, but 100+ miles in the dirt does wear you out. Also, I brought my bike in my room (since I'm afraid of heights of course.....). Everything was fine, but I woke around 5AM with a gas fumes hangover.

You get going pretty fast WFO on those straights. I stepped-up my gearing and pulled almost 100mph. Can be scary if something goes wrong.

I made shirts and stickers with this logo commemerating our ride.

Go fast, be prepared and ride safe.

+1. I've ordered from mcma111, Spud and therealbigman and they all KICK ASS! Happy bird eating everyone, and for those that imbibe, happy beer drinking. No jumping on your bikes doing wheelies for your in-laws, though

To be honest i love the XR but if im realy gona think about playing offroad again and hone my skillset a old pos 80CC big wheel would give me much more of a "forgivable" learning enviroment. That being said the XR is slated to be a pavement pounder primarialy and have a post currently waiting mod review that will explain it a bit better

Can't wait to see this thing! Yes, a small bike like an 80 is a good way to learn to ride off-road. Check out service Honda's new overing with an XR motor. Very cool, if very $.

Did reduce the air pressure in your tires a lot? They will go pretty well in sand if you air down to 5psi or less. Just make sure you have rim locks.

Yeah, it cost me a top end, a carb, a taillight, and a GPS mount!! The top end and carb was due to an air filter problem. The rest was from riding those dunes at night.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Pretty sweet. Does it add much inertia to the steering?
