He says 20 seconds or less. Is that gospel or not? You say 2 minutes. Oh and nothing will come out of the hole in the frame , just yours.

You mean how the oil circulating and dripping down into the sump isn't in the reservoir whether it's running or not, and will not affect the reading whether it's running or not?

If the pump doesnt leak , level will be the same off or at idle. Therefor if your pump leaks , the level can be artificially low. This is the reason for everyones varying oil capacities. Say what you will , but just really think about this.

My next theory I want to look into is , if you raise your oil level , would it aid cam lubrication , thru the oil tank breather to the rocker box , if the tank overfills ?

Hey , maybe , maybe not . Oh and be careful. If you venture to far you might fall off of the edge of the earth.

Hey joe, there's a 205mph speed record that I think you can break on your hayabusa.

205 on a lightly modded busa is easy. The 205 thing came from a guy that got a ticket for going 205 on an RC51. Dont have a busa , but my RC51 wont do it either.

Now... for something completely different.
I talked about having an extra flywheel lightened months back and there was some discussion about pros and cons. It's a spare, so I am going to do it, but my question is where should we take off meat and how much? I am thinking the thick ring that is riveted to the actual flywheel. When you compare an XR600R and XRL flywhel, you can see that the XRL unit is essentially an XRR flywheel riveted to a big heavy steel donut.

The starter gear comes off, so I am thinking about focusing the liposuction surgery on said steel donut. Maybe take some off of the perimeter of the wheel itself as well.

What say the collective?

Im sure you could easily take off a couple of pounds for improvement , but id be more concerned about checking and possibly rebalancing. Unless you know a place to do that.
