i like them but purple drake has the same issue you have.
That is good to know! I guess I'll be getting the G-max then since the Fly doesn't fit me well and the other two are the same as the Fly.

Thanks for pointing that out. Saves me time trying to find them locally to try on.

My current helmet has the built in tinted visor and I don't like it. It doesn't come down far enough, and if it's sunny I'd rather put on a pair of sunglasses under the visor anyways.

So I've been reading up on the hotcam and rockers, I've read from where alot of people say hardened rockers are actually bad for the hotcam because the hotcam is surface hardened and the hardened rockers will wear the cam out first, whereas with new stock rockers the rockers will wear some and I can just adjust valves to compensate for the wear. I'm really wanting to get my 102 and hotcam in soon but reading this and that has me confused on all of this.

A bit rich for my blood. I don't have $400 to spend on a helmet.

Brown Falcon, please report on what you finally select. I also need a new helmet, and my thoughts are very similar to yours. I wish that there were a large retailer with an even larger selection of helmets that I could try. I was in Portland this week, and should have looked. Any suggestions there?
Looks like I'll be getting the G-Max. My friend loves his, it fits my head much better than the Fly Trekker, and since I know the size I need I can order one from MC Superstore for $115 shipped.

someone will come along with pictures of this "stock rockers will wear some." You'll see why most of us will recommend the hardened rockers on THIS BIKE. Ruben....?????

I have that exact helmet....the AFX. For the money, I've been satisfied with it. To be honest, the higher end Shoei and Arai's don't do anything better IMHO.

One thing about these DualSport helmets is the air that will circulate back under the chin guard, a god-send on a hot day but makes my eyes water at high speed in the cold. I pull a "Buff" up over the bottom to seal out the air.... and it makes it quieter to boot.

You use stock rockers with the Hotcam. Now some of the guys are going to tell you nothing is good but thier brand of cam. Read and follow the instructions and with a little common sense , youll have no problems.

That was initially my take on it as well. Then I thought about the cost of brain injury. I went out and tried on a couple high end helmets. My head didn't fit a few of the brands, and I ended up settling on a $750 helmet from the previous year that was on sale for $400. I don't regret it a bit. That thing is so damn comfortable. If the occasion does arise that it meets a solid impact, I'll be replacing it immediately. You only get one go round the merry go round, you know...

It's just my take on it, others will say that their $100 helmet has served them great, and they're probably right. Don't let money be the deciding factor on something like a helmet, I say.

Some people should NOT work on their own stuff and we ALL know it. There are a lot of people on here running them with no problems. Its not the cams , its the mechanic.

I feel confident enough to use stock if they fail I'll sayscrew aftermarket cams the hardened rockers make me uneasy since hotcam isn't fully hardened. anyone who has successfully did hotcams care to show or help with advice when I begin? I don't believe if they had such a faulty product it would still be so widely bought and recommended. if anyone will lens advice please pm me especialy if you used stock rockers.
