the q2 you were talking about not too long ago?

I would need to make a coupler to much $$$ for that and the muffler

I just sold my powercore 4 and reinstalled my twin header system however the muffler makes this metallic rattling sound on decel that annoys the hell out of me,

btw I have much more flow and less engine braking with this setup versus the old powercore 4 and xrl headers....makes you wonder...I need to upgrade my brakes cause I got used to the massive engine braking I had before

something to do with the twin headers I SUPPOSE

thanks for the offer

pm me how much! jajajajaa

Get a Photobucket or Smug Mug account, once the picture is uploaded to one of those sites you will see an option for different types of links that you can use to link people to your picture. Look for the one that says something like IMG code. Image code has the link to the picture with "" tacked on to the back end of it. If you paste that link in your reply it will show the picture when viewing the reply, click preview post to see before you post it.

I made this baffle for mine from the stock end cap. I cut end cap off of the packed fiberglass stock insert with a hole saw and welded this piece of 1-1/4" perforated tubing on in it's place. It did make a difference I had to go up one main jet size and the bike had a bit more power. I have since replaced my muffler with an XR's Only slip on, and had to go up one more main jet when I did it with another marginal boost in power. The XR's Only pipe is a bit on the loud side when you get on it.

Yeah? SO; that's one of those " challenging " roads you claim to blast down so fast that NOBODY can keep up with you. All the while feeling every pulse of the motor and the reflex of the suspension. WOW man, looks tough.

xrr carb jetting

I recently put an xrr carb on my L and can't seem to get it to run by itself until its warm. It won't run on or off the choke in the morning until its warm or I crank the idle screw so far in that when it warms up its idling at like 2500.

Does anyone have any REAL WORLD experience with this carb on their L? I searched around on the web and went with the answer that came up the most for jetting which was 65/160. The main seems ok to me, runs bitchen from 3/8ths throttle up. The pilot seems huge as the original carb was 10 lower at 55, but I'm no expert. The bike will ride on the choke when cold but only till about 1/4 throttle then it falls flat on its face almost to the point of dying. Have spent weeks trying to adjust the mixture screw to no avail cause I can't even get the thing to idle properly.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Scotts,

I have a XRR carb on the bench. Been meaning to install it but I haven't gotten around to it. CW says to run a 65s pilot/slow jet and a 165 main and use a B53E needle. The needle is the one all of the XRR guys switch to. You don't have any air leaks or a cracked intake boot do you?

Good luck.
