Good eye, it is a 2000 XR650R which I bought before the L. Plan was to convert it to dual sport. Can't do it in my neck of the woods, so its for sale. Bought it for a good price, so i'll make a few bills on the sale.

Previous owner riveted Velcro for a sheep skin seat cover. I have an all black seat cover to replace that “special feature”.

You may be right, I’ll try them till they break. They are mounted inboard of the handguards.

Where do you hail from?

That is why it is garage beer. If you notice it’s not even worthy of being chilled….

I’m from Calgary, Aberta, Canada.

Good to know. As you can see, my bike has a spot in the garage which hopefully will delay the fade. There are about 4 different shades of red going on there between factory plastic, headlight, handguards and tank.

Very well!
But be super careful; we don't want any blood on our hands!

Survival of the fittest. Or the dumb-luckiest. I get a kick out of the hypocrisy displayed by condoning the riding of motorcycles and conceding any resulting injury is the individual's concern - yet any other potentially dangerous activity requires that we be careful to not promote, or even mention, lest someone attempt it and injure themselves.
It's also curious to see attempted rationalizations of said hypocrisy.

Theres not a lot of original thinking here. Everybody KNOWS something , but they dont know WHY. They gang up to make it look like YOU'RE the dumbass. Well , we'll never know how many of them are missing fingers.

If you'd said 'brains', we could take an educated guess.....

However, there have been some excellent ideas and thoughts expressed here that I've found enlightening. Additionally, there are several members who go out of their way to help others with various issues. Despite the personality issues and the parroting, it's really a great group.

Anyone use a Attack graphics seat cover for a xr250 r , I'm trying to install it on the lady's moto and it seams to not fit very well , start at the front and pull the back tight and then go sides? If the seat didnt have the steap front rise it would be fine! Any thoughts.

A brace for the stock fender isn't to hard to make. probably wouldn't be for your Acerbis either. A strip of 1/8" aluminum, bend a curve into it, Some rattle can red paint, a few screws and you end up with something like this.
