pro taper handlebar questions

It's been awhile since I've changed handlebars on a cycle (what can I say the old bike's bars were solid) so I picked up a set of pro taper hi bend atv bars (7/8") for the XRL, could someone refresh my memory why are there numbers on the ends of the handlebars? Do I need to cut these down? or will they fit as is with stock cables etc.....

thanks

The bars will go straight on with no issues.

The numbers are so that if you wish to shorten the bars you can do so evenly.

At least if you use the same numbers from either end...

Any ideas on how to remove spray-on bedliner from side plastics (besides LOTS of sanding)???

Check a container for the solvent at an autoparts store maybe or a website.
