My exhaust side cover is the really bad one. Pretty scratched up and has bedliner all over it. My left side cover just has paint and is in good shape.

Forks are awesome. We rethought the valve stack about a year ago when we serviced the shock. It is a different bike with proper suspension on both ends. I can ride it like a trail whore now.

I have crashed and replaced parts my L many times. Am just to lazy to sell my stuff on ebay or clist. I have been wanting to repaint the frame, add a oil cooler, re lace the hubs and all new plastics. But I don't want the bike to be down for to long. This bike has been the most fun i have ever had on a bike.

That is a nice video, ThumpnRed. If you don't mind my asking, your camera is mounted under the visor? I don't like the way the wind pulls at mine when I put it on top of my helmet like a sail. Increases the amount of time my head spends getting buffeted around, plus the audio is nothing but wind noise (even in GoPro's fully enclosed case, not the open back one.) Of course, the only things I've filmed so far in the few weeks I've had it have been commuting, just to get a feel for the camera, which includes quite a few stretches at 55+.

Thanks for any tips you can offer :)

I just pulled the trigger on a Contour 1080P. Can't wait for my friend in the brown truck to arrive.

I have a Drift Stealth that is mounted on the side of my helmet. I bump the top of my helmet on tree branches in the woods ALL THE TIME so mounting a camera Go Pro style was never a serious consideration. You can sometimes see the visor in the upper corner of the frame, depending on how wide I adjust the zoom on the camera. You can see it hanging off the chin bar of my helmet in this pic

Wind noise is an issue. I made a ghetto "wind sock" for mine. It is made out of one of my Army boot socks and covers the mic on the camera.
It does a decent job of cutting out most of the wind noise.

When I pass those Harley types on the street I give them a wave and they usually wave back. The sport-bike types almost never do.
