I've lost ALOT of fasteners on the trail which most recently led to a right side panel somewhere between home and Reno.

Bolts that hold on the fuel tank, seat pan bolts. License plate bolts, taillight cover bolts, headlight shroud, clutch lever bolts.....

Do what you want. Just a suggestion.
Compromise? -> Blue locktite?

OK Son, Show me in the OE Honda service manual where it shows using loctite on the frame hardware. There is a torque spec for every fastener on the bike though. Perhaps you need your wrist recalibrated.

x2...

I lost a freakin footpeg last ride! with clevis pin and all
dont know how didnet even hit anything, just vibrated off and my bike is smooth...

Im not one to recommend loctite on stuff either BUT I too suggest loctite on:

seat pan bolts on frame
footpeg bolts(right side) or use a nice locknut
tank mounts
upper engine mount nuts...
my xr6 suffers from loosening header stud bolt nuts because they are not oem...they are a locknut type.

everything else kind doesnt need it but the xrl has more fastners and stuff than the xr6

Try Loctite 290. It it a wicking version so you don't have to remove the fasteners to apply it.

You need to paste the image link, not the link from your address bar.

I'm the idiot who sometimes leaves the power on or a key in, draining the battery. Push starts fine, even better with a little hillock.

Lord have mercy, Jeremy! You must be joking.

I've never used LocTite on any part of any bike and to the best of my recollection, I've never lost a fastener on the trial in over 45 years of riding. I don't necessarily trust my memory, though.
