For pirelli MT-21s anyway, the 130 and 140 series tires are a lot more aggressive, a lot taller (worth a tooth on the rear sprocket at least), and take a small faction off the turn-in speed.

The 140 nibbles at the OEM chain guard as it flaps in the breeze anyway. I remove the OEM brake disc guard when wheel changing wheels to make things easer.
