Does anyone know if you can use a center stand and the side stand? Not at the same time but have both on the bike

I had to do the exact same thing. I even called trail tech and they told me I needed the stick on type sensor and to silicone the magnet to the rotor

Hold it up to the phone so I can get a better look at it.

I think my Cdi is failing
Sometimes after a short run the bike will not start.
Last night I tapped on the plastic under the seat and it started.
It did this to me last year but only a few times.
So where is the best place to buy a new one at and also is there any instructions on fixing the common problem with them.
I know tech for life I believe fixes them and I would like to fix it myself.
Buying a new one is not out of the question as I have the money.
Thanks brian

Check the wiring first to see if there's a short of some kind.

Here's a link to Brian's thread on this topic.

http://www.thumpertalk.com/topic/881...lp-cdi-repair/

I would buy a new, OEM CDI unit from one of the online parts vendors, and keep the repaired CDI unit as a spare.

http://www.servicehondapsn.com/fiche...13&fveh=162565

However, you can also buy an aftermarket CDI unit from Germany. I don't have a link for that vendor.

If it is totally necessary, I'll file the tab. I just don't want to do any mods outside of replacing the pilot and main jets, removing the snorkel and adding an FMF Q
I should have the smog removal kit tomorrow or tuesday so I'll pull the carb then.
I didn't follow the thread from the start- if you're stock it's probably lean.

If you diverge from the recipe, results are uncertain.

Cdi

There you go:
http://www.motorbike-shop.de/index.php?a=3153&lang=eng

I replaced my CDI about 2 months ago with one of these units. Service was good, shipping was cheap and if you tell Götz to drop the Mehrwertssteuer (VAT) the unit will ship for I think 19% less.

Very happy with mine so far.

That sucks, Brian.

I have a new one (spare) that you can use in the meantime. I also have an old one (dead) that needs to be repaired. If you are going to do the brain surgery (lots of solder work), use my dead CDI as a test case.
