Yesterday I installed a Polisport CRF fender and a ManRacks FFF (Front Fender Farkle).

I put a 21-inch inner tube in the Honda tool bag, and there is room for some more stuff. I have most of the rest of my tools stored in my Harbor Freight tool tube, mounted on the front of the skid plate.

I got it out. No big deal, just that I wasn't sure how much brass I had to drill cause of it's shape. The screw "was" a D-socket so I eased it out with a small regular driver and then cut a slot in it and put it back in. Out 2.5 turns, changed the jets out to 52/155 and she fired up real nice.
Seems like it starts easier.
But, I do notice that when I roll on the throttle it almost seems like something is kinda holding her back if you know what I mean. Not a hesitation, like just not allot of power or if I'm pulling something behind me
Any thoughts?
It sure is nice everywhere else and the pipe sounds great.
Thanks for the video tip. I had to get a sheet metal screw in order to bite into the plug because it was so different than the ones in the video.

Probably need to adjust the float level to kill the little lean surge. I have the same thing but decided to try an FCR-MX so have not attempted to remove the issue. I also wondered if it was caused by modifying the slide IE: slide rising too fast for fuel to keep pace under the slow air velocity. It would be interesting to try a stock and a modified slide back to back. You could try the 55 pilot my bike was rich with that, like fouling plug rich.

Thanks!
It's gotta be the slide/needle as it is fine right off the bottom and perfect when I really hold the throttle open into the main.
So nothing can be done with the mixture screw? That is for response right off the bottom, right?
Hmmmmm

I thought it was lean. I remember someone explaining it somewhere long ago about the "boowahhh" means lean.
Crap, I can do pilots and mains. Now what? The needle is shimmed with one of those little Radio Shack washers, that's about all I know what to do from Dave's mod's.
It's not terrible. I'm just used to FI I guess. And my two strokes are easy.

Lean off idle rich otherwise, just for that surge causing moment that is what I am guessing with mine. 55 pilot rich 52 not lean but 2 3/4 turns out on the air mix screw and no resolution to the lean surge just off idle. Did you try the 55 with the 155 it might work for you and you can go to 2 3/4 technically with the air screw before you are supposed to go up a pilot size.

Joke was you cant adjust the float level.
