At least it was soft....

That's a depressing sight, the bike sunk in the mud like that.

Yeah man! Flat on my back, as I laid there processing what had just happened I realized my bike was still running (which is when I realized what "shift on the fly" really meant. I also figured out that running the bike with an oil cooler submerged in water really helps lower your temps

Careful, or you might start a new trend here of various concoctions of water-cooled oil coolers.

Yuasa Battery

Just want to give a shout out to 1st_web_sales on E-Bay. My son moved back home from Reno earlier this year. His XRL had spent the winter in a friends shed and he claims that he kept the Yuasa battery on the trickle charger. Anyhow the battery was DOA when I checked it upon his return. I ordered a battery from 1st_web_sales in March.

Recently my son's bike has been down for a month or so while we did some engine work and the battery took a shit. I just called 1st_web_sales and after he found me in his records he said a replacement battery is on it's way. I have even received a shipping conformation. No fuss, no muss.

I've been doing a lot of work on my CRF250X. I did a dual sport conversion.

I installed a SPAL cooling fan on the right radiator.

http://www.thumpertalk.com/topic/103...-installation/

I also installed a Trail Tech Stator Kit, part #SR-8202, to beef up the stator output, and convert the electrical system to direct current.

http://www.thumpertalk.com/topic/103...-installation/

I also installed a Durelle Racing Gel Saddle, and a CRF3 Kouba Link.

I think I'm done for a while, but I might still upgrade the headlight, and/or install heated grips.

I'm feeling increasingly worried of an XRL retirement & a defection to another thread coming on here?

Mikuni HSR42 Carburetor For Sale...

Hello all...
I know this isn't the best place for this, but as so many view this page and most have XR's, I thought it wouldn't hurt. I have put my Mikuni carb up for sale on ebay....here is a shameless link. http://www.ebay.com/itm/281148457263...84.m1555.l2649
The Carb is pretty much new...comes with mikuni jet kit as well....all for $350. I paid over $500.

Really enjoy the forum...Not to many folks in my area ride XR's or even off road, that I know of. So this is my hang out of sorts.
