Where'd you get the carbon fiber looking stickers for your XRL? did you find them custom sized or did you cut them yourself? From the pics in your sale ad, they look really sharp. I plastidipped my side covers black - it looks good, but I don't think it's going to stand up too well.

As far as value? I think you're probably a bit on the high side. I just bought a '07 with less than 5K and pretty well setup for your asking price.

If you've got the time and the stock parts, you'd likely be money head to sell the aftermarket stuff separately.

Thanks for the input. Got sheet vinyl from Amazon, and did it myself. Headlight turned out great, the compound curves I had some issues with. Youtube makes it look easier than it is... :)

only a head gasket and you couldn't stop nicely done.
First time gotta appear sooner or later, and hopefully after once or twice one get it in order..that is IF I get it in order.
I mixed up; looking at the picture, also takes place is the crankshaft sprockets,at least it results in less sprocket concetrating on transmission. ay ay..

that's the one that reached 70.000 views the other day or so wasn't it..?
That thread is a good helping hand, details to watch out for, clear pictures, looks easy..but..
Quite boring after assembly and you find out that 5th is one down,3rd is one up and so on..
No but the thing when replacing sprockets which one wants to do as a mod,mixing/changing out sprockets, that is where I get confused, like: "hm what/where are 5th,how many sprockets need be replaced at 3rd" for example. The mod is tailor-made style, like it. .
But still can't resist not doing it either

I notice a lot of hum, but not shaking that I can tell

I have been noticing that the bike shakes and shudders as I come to a stop. I've never run full knobbies on pavement before - and I'm thinking the shake is just the feeling of bouncing from knob to knob. Anyone else running Dunlop 606's on their XRs? Anyone else running any sort of full knobbies notice the shaking at very low speeds?

The only bikes I've ever run full knobbies on were MX bikes - and I don't think I've ever run one of those on pavement.

Master link failure

Jumping a levee, lost the chain at the top, nose dived down the other side, I thought what the hell... to myself, glanced back saw that I was dragging the 520, Grabbed the clutch, missed neutral, hit first gear, let out the clutch and in a millisecond that 520 had bunched up against the case and jumped the counter sprocket wedging between the case, case saver and C/sprocket!!! I was only 5 miles to civilization . and started to push the Pig. All the while cursing at myself for not having a spare in the tool kit. Off my chest, Don't feel any better now. Live and learn.

Eek Need with big red

Here are the specs-09 xr650l stock carb,stock motor,fmf pipe Q4,carb jetted to 55/160 at 600 sea above sea level, running Honda Hp4 10w-40 oil,rear tire size dunlop 606 120/90-18.stock gearing(15-45).I'm 6'1 245lbs.
Problem I'm having is i feel like the bike is running out of top end at about 65-70 mph. I keep hearing and reading guys doing 80mph with no problem. Now I've had my bike since new and racked up 7200 miles on it so far with no problems with backfiring, running rich or lean. Spark plug nice and brownish.im yet to figure out what's the deal here. Any words of wisdom are welcomed.
