I didn't ask but It's gonna take a week to get the piston so that plus the time to get it back together, They have been quick so far.

Swapped handlebars today. Jump ahead several hours. Crank up the bike and notice no headlights.

Check fuses. OK.

Check wiring connections around headlight. OK.

Pull off switch housing and check it over. Looks like it did a few hours ago when I pulled it off and swapped bars. Took hi-lo switch apart....nothing out of the ordinary.

Got no hi-beam indicator either.

Alright guys...what is it?

Check that the head light itself works by connecting it directly to a battery after that I got nothing.

Not saying it can't be the headlight/bulb....but I've never seen both filaments (hi and lo) go out simultaneously. The lack of a hi-beam indicator also seems puzzling.

If you have a test light you could start at the head light and work your way down stream. I think its worth trying the head light just to check that one off the list. Good luck as I've said before I hate electric work.

Well just put a few hours into cleaning the "02. She is so dirty. Mostly it is all dried mud though. O well degreaser works just as well on dirt too. Unfortunately as both bikes share all the same farkles. I cant really start putting her back together till just before i go, or else i give up riding the "06. Seeing as she gets better millage than my car... I can't stop riding her for 2 months. O well at least ill have a clean bike to put parts onto when the time comes.

Yes I'll wait! This is a replacement engine so no hurry other than my impatience.

There are all OEM Honda parts. A little more money than some of the aftermarket stuff but the peace of mind that the parts are exact for that bike.

Newbie fear, I know...

I'll get over it eventually when I'm more comfortable working on the bike.

The start button has a switch in it to cut off the headlight when your starting it. If it hangs up your light will stay off. So maybe it's the start button.
