Thanks to Garmin CS I was able to unlock City Nav for use with my 2730. Routing goes fine on CN with multiple way points but when I transfer to the 2730 it says the route does not match maps and ask to recalculate. The recalculation changes the route drastically. I have the settings on the 2730 as close to the CN as I can (CN has a slider for major-minor rodes) 2730 just has avoid or don't avoid. I've tried adding more waypoints to force the 2730 to comply with the route but it always calculates something else. If I don't have the 2730 recalculate it does a straight line route.
Any help appreciated, WPS

If it's an older version of City Nav, even the straight version 7, which I already had for my 2610 you will get that. You have to get the "NT V.7" of City Nav then you will be fine. If you already have the special DVD that you have to order installed, you have to make sure you switch to the right database in Mapsource. Just make sure that the pulldown for the map database on the top left says "City Navigator North America NT Ver. 7" and it should work.

![]() The hell of it is, there is no difference I can see between them accept for size of the "chunks" of map segment that you can select. In 7, Virginia is two separate chunks, in the NT version it's only 1. Which would make sense if they are actually included the maps used in the route calculation in the file that's downloaded, the segment/chunk id's don't match up, so it thinks it has to do a recalc
