DD, probably run Maple Sally Rd, old 105 to Lake James, might try to get to Ahoe Gap and Richlands. Just depends on weather. How are you and family doing ?

svta, I have to mount tires on both bikes Saturday morning, after I'm finished we will probably ride some. I hope to be finished by 11:00. If you want to do a short run in the afternoon send a PM w/# so I can call you.

What's a "Superbowl"? Is it like a large salad bowl ? What's "super" about it ?
BYOB=Bring Your Own Bowl ? Just kidding, hell I didn't even know who was playing in it until tonight !!

The fact that it's Superbowl Sunday makes it one of the best riding days of the year. Have a good time, I would if I could.

DD, Cold w/snow in the mountains.......perfect ! "Ball" sports not my thing, rather ride. Hope things are going well up there.

NCbub, Have a good trip. I will check the class schedules to day and send you a PM. This time of year will greatly depend on weather, the ladies might not enjoy a dirt riding class in 6 inches of mud. Feb. time frame looks good for us.

I think I would like to tag along if you all don't mind. Will you refine your plan here? I could meet you at Maple Sally Road. I don't really want to go all the way to Lenoir if I don't have to.

We will be going to Maple Sally from Adako Rd at Murphy Pl (east of Brown Mt Beach RD) and going North. We can meet you at the top if you want, probably be 11:30 before we get to the top. PM your phone # so I can contact you tomorrow.

Had a great little ride Saturday w/svta. Left Hickory, 60 deg rainstorm, 2 hours later 30 deg snow ! We rode through Buffalo Cove, Elk Creek Rd, Sompson Rd, Ahoe Gap, Old John's River Road, Globe Road and back to Colletsville. Great ride for a Saturday afternoon.

Sunday Ride; Approx. 30 deg morning. Kwakhead, Gaston Gagne, dlrides, and Lesa showed up for a cold ride. We rode Maple Sally Rd, old rte 90, Pineola Ridge Rd, several fire roads, Brown Mt Beach Rd, Playmore Beach Rd, etc.... Pineola Ridge Rd was covered in snow, first time riding in the snow for Kwakhead and Lesa. A 105 lb lady on a 650GS in the snow, with no fear, gotta love it. Warmed a little at the store on top of the Mt on Rte 181, rode some more gravel. Home at 5:00 pm, what a day of cold weather riding ! Nothing like riding in the snow !!

Everybody forgot their camera, so this is the ride report !!

That was fun. Thanks for having me along. Hope to do it again soon. The FedEx guy paid me a visit yesterday and left some MT 21s and some D606s. Looking forward to new rubber.
