Racks
Quote:
They are the (Turbo City) "Denali" racks. I modified them a little bit because the original racks come with a bottom support bracket for the saddle bags. I found myself snagging the bottom brackets on everything because they stick out about 6 inches on both sides. Mr Mike screwed with this post 08-22-2008 at 11:32 AM |

Here's Betty...
![]() By cactusman Ive been giving her some added features. Wind Screen, (BBQ) rack, Skid plate, heated hand grips, IMS tank. I plan on a few other upgrades. Id like to make or buy a bigger tool holder, maybe add some pannier racks, going to get hand guards and some HID lights and a corbin seat.

Believe it or not, I picked up those lights at Walmart for $20. I really want the trail tech lights, but they are a little out of my price range right now. I am actually really happy with how these lights perform. They came with 50 watt bulbs, but I swapped them out with 35watt bulbs so that they would not tax my battery to much. So far the setup has worked out really well. I have run them for hours and have not had any issues. IMO Aux lights are a neccessity for this bike, since the headlight leaves much to be desired (especially when driving on country roads at night). They really light up the road well. I will try to find/post some more pics of the setup this weekend. -Mike |

this would go better in the other thread but... its friday.
Mikey - how you got those lights mounted? are they tabbed onto the fork pinch bolts or what? and, just to pitch this out there... anyone ever tried to find a HID single that could be fitted to the stock lens? i know there is such animal for the weestrom - just plug and play and doesn't eat too much power. a single would help a lot. I run an "offroad only" Wagner bulb in mine and its pretty white at night - i get an idea of what damage a HID in there could do. Anyone got trick tail-lights as long as we're on this bender? Quote:

I used the stock bracket that was originally used to mount the side reflecters, then I purchased 2 addititional "L" shaped brackets from Home Depot so that the lights would sit in the correct position. The setup works really well. -Mike ![]() ![]()
