GS are they helping that much? I blow a seal almost every ride on my GF's stock front end (not on the progressives). Is it just crap getting in between the seal and fork?

All I know is I've blown a seal (one) and after I had replaced that I put the gaitors on and haven't blown any since. I went with progressive springs pretty soon after I had bought the bike and the seal blew at 7.000kms or so. It has now done 70.000, albeit the seals were changed at around 50.000 when I had the forks rebuilt. The suspension guy said that the forks themselves were in surprisingly good (excellent) shape, but all the parts were totally worn out. Still wasn't leaking.
