'06-'05 Changes?

Anyone know if there are any changes between the new '06 models to the '05 Adventure models?

And when is the 990 supposed to show up? I was hoping this year so the 'old' bikes would be blown out of the showrooms!

Aren't all the 2006 Adventures going to be fuel injected 990s?

All the 2003s thru 2005s were carburetted 950s (actually 942cc) as far as I know.

It's quite simple, actually: In your browser, type the address www.ktm.com. Choose "Models" on the left menu. Choose "Adventure" on the next menu. Then choose one of the 950 or one of the 990 models. Now compare.

See? Simple, isn't it?

That's what I thought. However the people up here (Canada) are telling me the 2006 is the same as a 2005.

BTW, anyone know anything about the KTM adventure ride planned for Lac La Hache?

At the Vancouver bike show the KTM guy at the KTM booth told me that the 06 is the same as the 05.5 and that we are not going to see 990 adventures until 07.

All the 2006 950 Adventures are just '05.5 leftover Euro-stock. The true '06 Adventure will be the 990, and the 950 will go away.

...at least that's my understanding. So the '06 950 Adv will be identical to the '05.5. Clear as mud right?

There is a ride called "Coles Backroads Adventure" being planned for Lac La Hache , see the Dual Sport BC ( www.dualsportbc.com ) forum for more details

990 Adventure

In the Sunny UK, the 2006 Adventure is a 999cc fuel injected with ABS as standard on the "low" model.

Mine will be here in 2 weeks

I hope this helps...

No, this doesn't help one bit. Nor does it help that you can go buy a SuperDuke and slightly better chocolate.

But remember one thing: i just bought 3.79 liters of petrol for for 1.44 GBP
