Gas will be an issue

Hi James,

Lots of good dirt roads in the area, take your pick. Gas will be an issue, as I believe the closest gas to Dumont is either Baker to the south or Shosone to the north. There is no gas in Tecopa.

Good Luck!

Thanks Jim, I think I'll take a couple of fuel bottles just in case but it should get me to Baker after the Dunes..

I have Jean to Dumont on SMTS at GPSXchange. There is a road over Stateline pass from Primm to Sandy but it is very rocky. I rode it twice (my first and last time).

Lots of sand wash with fist size rocks on single track and the rocky roads were long and tough on the forearms but thanks to a Scotts damper making the ride more enjoyable. Fuel was good on the KTM 525 using the MXC tank, surprisingly great mileage!
