I agree with one exception, The Glide is a smoother ride (vibration) and has bettter weather protection.
If I have to do a long interstate run, I like the Glide better, Till the first sharp off ramp !

On the way home from the Eastern RDV. 1630 miles in four riding days, including the entire Blue Ridge Pky both ways. What a wonderful weekend!

Voltage regulator. Closest dealer with one was 200 miles away of course. They're shipping it to me. Should have it today hopefully.

If you're hitting the dirt, keep in mind that they are thinner that the X's wheels.

And I don't overly care for the black rims. I love the gold rims I see on some units at this site. I think they would be kick ass on my black XT. I'm on the plains. The black rims look dusty and dirty a dozen blocks from the car wash never leaving pavement.

I need to spend more time in this thread. I like some of the running light ideas and larger windshields many industrious people have come up with.

I have black rims on my STT. They are impossible to keep looking good. They don't really come clean when I wash them.

I have black rims on my 09 XT. I ride mainly back roads & dirt. I don't give a chit - they can be washed.
