This weekend, Grandfather Mtn, anyone?

The Weather Channel has suns lined up through Sunday, or they did this morning.

I can probably do either day. I have to get some chores done.

I'm also interested in checking out other areas. I notice you're in Canton. I would be willing to head out to Haywood County. I have always wanted to explore the Harmon Den area or anywhere, really. However, I would be glad to ride around here if you want to do that.

Cheers

Only 40 days until Brown Mountain reopens.

Hey ya'll.

I'd love to ride Sunday if that's when you all will be out.
You got some nice dual sportin roads up there to share with a newbie ?

I'm in Charlotte so I'll have to leave early, but just say when and where.

In spite of the chilly forecast, Sunday sounds good to me, too. How does 11 o'clock sound? Can we start in Morganton? I'm flexible.

Cheers

OK, K-Mart @ 11:00 a.m.

I generally get started with Maple Sally Rd. From there, I'm sort of spontaneous but the general idea was to work my way over to Linville Falls and come back to Morganton via Old 105. I have been itching to check out this Pilot Ridge Road, purely out of curiosity. If I can, I will do some ice/snow recon tomorrow.

I'm looking forward to it.

Maple Sally Rd ?

Is that anywhere near the infamous Maple Grove Church Rd ?
I've been dying to ride that with some Dual Sports

I'm questionable now too

phreakwife just got outta the hospital a week ago

last night she comes down with the dreaded intestinal flu, also known as the "Puke & Shits"

depends on how she feels tomorrow

also depends if I develop symptoms

not having any reason to pay attention in Morganton before ....

it looks like the K-Mart is off 181 going out of town towards Linville?

so you'll be the one inside drinking their YUMMY coffee?

or

the one with the fresh brewed coffee & just baked doughnut concession out by the road?

K-Mart is on 181 on the right heading north toward the mountains. It is the last thing on the way out of town, so to speak.

Hope your wife feels better.
