![]() That's just as simple as it looks, I wear a bluetooth in-ear headphones and the N-97 serves as a MP3/ movie/ Internet radio player, GPS, camcorder, and phone... mostly as a GPS. Radar detectors are illegal here in Arg and the fine is HUGE (U$S 800 or so) I don't care about what time is it while I'm riding and the ambient temp is measured by how much I sweat or freeze... hehe Dexter2811 screwed with this post 04-18-2012 at 12:52 AM |

My bike uses a Pitot/Static tube to read airspeed in MPH. It is quite accurate.

The bike is my Kawasaki cafe race I built last year. here are a few pics of the bike and a video I made awhile ago that explains how it works. It is exactly how air plane measures speed. The static tube measures a neutral pressure, then the pitot tube measures the the air being forced into the tube, i.e air speed. The indicated speed is actually a measurement of the pressure differential between the two ports. While it does measure wind/air speed it is fairly sensitive to wind direction so unless you are riding into a constant head wind that is perfectly in line with the pitot tube the indicated speed is fairly accurate. I rode it a few time with my GPS to check it.
