Gaston,
No problem.
I don't mind a little superslab one way.
I've done 10 hour days on the KLR and the Corbin makes it bearable.
I was just hoping to hit Old 18 either coming or going, so lets do this.
You tell me where "North Fork" is and if you want to hit it before or after Maple Grove Church Rd, so I can get a handle on which is closer to 321, then I'll decide with whether I ride 321 up or back.

I'm still on for Saturday and would prefer to meet in Morganton, too. Since I'm in Shelby, I'd meet the Snake for a ride up old 18.

I was planning to start off with Maple Grove. I generally do a lap around Wilson and Linville. We can discuss particulars at decision points. The beauty of going with others is that I don't have to stick to a course per my agreement with the Mrs.

North Fork is over by old 105 and would be sort of the end of the ride. It is a notch higher on the technical scale over, say, the road from Old House Gap down to Roseboro in the Wilson area. I would go around the back side of Lake James back to Morganton.

You all wanna say meet at the KMart in Morganton 9:45-10:00? It's on 181 at the north end of town. If that's not good, just make the adjustments. I'm totally flexible.

space station ??? Sounds Trippy

Anyway, yes indeed, this is shaping up to be a great weekend.
I still plan to ride with you Sunday Evilone and bring my neighbor who has a KLR as well.
9:45-10:00 at the K-mart in Morganton sounds great Gaston.
Route sounds great too and I'm not as strict as your other half. I'm flexible if you feel like being spontaneous.

Jamie, Just let me know where and when you would like to meet to get us in Morganton by the designated time.

I'll be coming up 18. How does 9:00ish at the CITGO station on 18 right at HWY 10 sound?

Just me and my neighbor on our KLR's so far.
Depending if John is in or not will determine when we can get started.
I'd really like to ride some of those nice gravel twistys north of Morganton.
Especially Maple Grove Church Rd. and any others up around Brown Mountain Beach road.
I'm hoping some other locals will chime in with suggestions.
Slightly overcast and in the 70's sounds like an awesome day.
I'm definitely out for this one, but doing a street ride (181!) Sunday morning if you're interested.

Hopefully catch up with you guys in 2 weeks for some dual sporting. Next weekend is the IMS show in Atlanta

of course if I get by the yammerhammer shop in H-ville this afternoon (requires leaving work early ...should I? ) and pick up the parts I may have it done tonight

I'll watch the thread for the meeting times / places both days
